Regalwood is a husband-wife venture born from a shared belief: furniture should show its soul, not hide it.
The Beginning
Regalwood began in 2024, when two things came together: a furniture factory in Patan, and a designer who'd spent years dreaming about what Nepali furniture could become.
Shirish grew up around Newari art and woodworking — his family carried generations of craft in their hands. But he became an engineer, then a designer, building digital products. The physical world waited.
Anisha runs a furniture manufacturing operation at Patan Industrial Estate. She understands wood, workshops, and what it takes to make something real.
When we married, the dream became possible.

In Nepal, luxury furniture often means gold-painted carvings — ornate, heavy, designed to impress. But gold paint hides the very thing that makes wood beautiful: the grain, the texture, the quiet imperfections that prove a human was here.
We wanted something different. Furniture that shows its character. Newari carving traditions — geometric, precise, meaningful — fused with the proportions and stance of European classics.
Brown can be luxurious. Wood can be the hero.
The Making
Every piece is made upon order in our Patan workshop. There's no warehouse of inventory, no mass production line. When you order, we begin.
The carving takes weeks. The finishing takes patience. There are moments of frustration — a section that doesn't work, a finish that's too dark, a fabric that isn't quite right. But that's the cost of making something by hand.
We don't rush. Some things shouldn't be.
